MONOCACY AND THE UNDERGROUND RAILROAD

[ January 1, 2011 to February 28, 2011. ] The visitor center will feature an exhibit on slavery and slave resistance at L’Hermitage, home to the second largest enslaved population in Frederick County in 1800. The exhibit will explore the lives of those who were enslaved at L’Hermitage and sought freedom, including artifacts taken from excavations of the slave village. 8:30am-5pm
