This one day bike tour is an ecotourism event and fundraiser for Citizens for a Better Eastern Shore, a non-profit organization serving Northampton and Accomack counties. 14, 33, 60, 80, and 100 miles through Southern Maryland. All routes, from the casual 14-mile family ride to the challenging 100-mile century route, will take cyclists along the scenic on-road bicycle route of the Potomac Heritage Trail National Scenic Trail. The event is sponsored by the Civista Health Foundation and proceeds will go toward necessary renovations of Civista Hospital’s pharmacy, which provides critical services to hundreds of patients each and every day. Cyclists will return to La Plata to the Crossing at Casey Jones, where they will enjoy an after-ride party with food and entertainment. Pre-registration fee of $30 covers rest stops along the route, SAG support, marked routes, cue sheets, and the after-ride party. The first 250 to register also receive a t-shirt and ride souvenirs.
