At more than 650 acres, this park has something for everyone. A focal point is the Commission-restored James and Macie King dairy barn, a reminder of Montgomery County’s agricultural past that is still very much a part of its present. Drop by the Maryland-themed “tot lot” any afternoon! It is located between the Barn and the Miniature Golf Course.

Golf Driving Range – South Germantown Recreational Park

This park offers a 40 tees and a short-game (teeing, chipping, etc) practice area. The driving range is open 10 AM-PM. Beginning December 1 through February 28, the driving range will be open Fridays, Saturday, and Sundays only. The driving range will resume daily operations in March 2003. The park’s Central Park features two beautiful championship miniature golf courses. The golf courses are beautifully landscaped and will test your skill unlike any other golf course. No windmills here!. The two 18-hole putting courses with practice greens contain delicate contour changes, undulations and sloping greens. Teens and adults will find real challenges provided by water features, sand traps, rough turf and natural obstacles that are part of the unique design.

Discovery Sports Center Facility

This Sports Center is a state of the art mulit-sport indoor facility designed to compliment the Maryland SoccerPlex. The 66,000 square foot complex encompasses eight basketball and/or volleyball courts on a lined urethane surface from March to November. Beginning in November, there are two NHL hockey rinks complete with netting and a dasher board system and roll out a layer of artificial turf for indoor soccer, lacrosse, filed hockey, baseball, and rugby. The Center also features a café, arcade, and a party/conference room. The Discovery Sports Center has fully equipped men’s and women’s locker rooms and family bathrooms to compliment our indoor events as well as the Maryland SoccerPlex’s marquee stadium events. Cool down and have a blast at the South Germantown Recreational Park Splash Playground! Kids will have a great time playing under the massive waterfall, and trying to guess which tumbling bucket will tip over next. There’s also a rain tree, water tunnel, and a 36′ computer choreographed water maze with 280 ground-level jets, shooting 6,000 gallons of water per minute. It’s the ultimate in hot-weather relief! Lockers and cubbies, showers, dressing room, restrooms and a vending area are located nearby. The Splash Playground is part of Montgomery Parks (Montgomery County Department of Parks) and is fully accessible for people with disabilities, and all ages are welcome.

Adventure Park USA features two exhilarating and fast paced Go Cart tracks where kids of all ages can test out their driving skills in fast go carts! Start out on the Blazing Trails Family Track, then pump up the adventure at the high-performance Speeding Bullet Slick Track. Meant for more cautious drivers, the Blazing Trails Family Track is an exciting way to experience the thrill of the track. The Speeding Bullet Slick Track will send your heart racing as you grip the wheel, maneuvering around tight curves and zooming along the course!
