They are licensed by the Department of Natural Resources and are members of America Outdoors and the Professional Paddlesports Association. After three decades, River and Trail remains a family-run operation built around an experienced staff, which offers a wide variety of adventure trips in Maryland, WVa, and Virginia. The area offers opportunities for paddling, fishing, and white-water raft trips.

Raft, canoe, kayak, or tube the beautiful Shenandoah and Potomac rivers near historic Harpers Ferry and Antietam Creek. Interpretive hikes and cross-country ski tours in the Appalachian mountains. Adventure Park USA features two exhilarating and fast paced Go Cart tracks where kids of all ages can test out their driving skills in fast go carts! Start out on the Blazing Trails Family Track, then pump up the adventure at the high-performance Speeding Bullet Slick Track. Meant for more cautious drivers, the Blazing Trails Family Track is an exciting way to experience the thrill of the track. The Speeding Bullet Slick Track will send your heart racing as you grip the wheel, maneuvering around tight curves and zooming along the course!

Go-Karts are open weather permitting. The temperature must be about 40 degrees and the tracks must be dry.

The park, located west of Thurmont, is named for a 78-foot cascading waterfall. Hiking, swimming, hunting, fishing, picnicking, boating, playgrounds, nine camper cabins, and 171 campsites in two areas available seasonally.
