Shannon Perich, Associate Curator in the Division of Culture and the Arts at the National Museum of American History, will explore the work of nine celebrated portrait photographers – ranging from Julia Margaret Cameron to Richard Avedon – and discuss what their approach to portraiture reveals about the technology and culture of their time. 7pm
