14, 33, 60, 80, and 100 miles through Southern Maryland. All routes, from the casual 14-mile family ride to the challenging 100-mile century route, will take cyclists along the scenic on-road bicycle route of the Potomac Heritage Trail National Scenic Trail. The event is sponsored by the Civista Health Foundation and proceeds will go toward necessary renovations of Civista Hospital’s pharmacy, which provides critical services to hundreds of patients each and every day. Cyclists will return to La Plata to the Crossing at Casey Jones, where they will enjoy an after-ride party with food and entertainment. Pre-registration fee of $30 covers rest stops along the route, SAG support, marked routes, cue sheets, and the after-ride party. The first 250 to register also receive a t-shirt and ride souvenirs. Riders are encouraged to pre-register to be assured of getting a t-shirt and other ride souvenirs. Participants can register online at www.active.com or download a registration form. Day-of-ride registration begins at 7:00 am and is $35.
